This is the first of a series of dreamscape paintings, begun during lockdown. It features a remembered view from an old moorland gritstone quarry, reclaimed by heather and grasses. The evening sunlight is filtering through the grasses and as if through half closed eyes to shield the sunlight. A dreamlike memory of moorland colours and filtered and refracted light.
